How we collect, use, and protect your personal information

§01Introduction

At ComposersCamp, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our platform.

§02Information We Collect

Personal Information

  • Name, email address, and contact information
  • Account credentials and profile information
  • Payment and billing information

Usage Information

  • Learning progress and course interactions
  • Device information and browser data
  • Analytics and performance metrics
  • Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel): when you arrive from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, Meta records the pages you open and whether you create an account, so we can tell which ads work. Ad blockers stop it.
  • Anonymous sign-up counts: for each step (arriving, starting a lesson, creating an account) we add one to a daily counter by traffic source, the page you entered on, the site language, your approximate country (worked out from your connection, not stored) and device type (phone, tablet or desktop). No IP address, identifier or browser details are kept.

Learning Telemetry

While you work through a lesson we record which slide is on screen, how long it stays visible, whether you moved on or left, and how many times you retried an exercise. We use it to find the lessons people get stuck on.

What we do NOT store: who did it. These are aggregate counts per slide with no user identifier attached, so individual behaviour cannot be reconstructed from them. We also never store your answers, anything you write, mouse positions or keystrokes.

You can turn this off at any time from your profile. Timing stops while the tab is in the background, so leaving a tab open does not count as study time.

  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to data processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time
